Update: March 14th, 2022
This past Friday, Mansfield Public Schools released a letter to students and parents stating that beginning Monday, March 14th, masks would be optional in schools. You can find the letter with the following link: Masks Optional Starting March 14 - Family Letter.pdf
Effective Monday, March 14th, masks will be optional for everyone on our premises.
We will continue to follow the policies of Mansfield Public Schools, so in the event that cases begin to rise and masks become required again, we will follow suit. Students and their families are still welcome to wear masks in class and in our lobby. We fully anticipate some students to wear masks while others don't, and we ask that everyone remain respectful of each individual's personal choice over the coming months.
Partnering in Classes
We will be reintroducing partnering skills in all of our in-person group classes moving forward. Students that attend in-person classes but are uncomfortable partnering in person may practice combinations with a ghost partner or on a wave master.
Sparring
Starting in April, we'll be adding back in Sparring Weeks into our regular curriculum rotation. Sparring encompasses a series of drills where students have the opportunity to practice their martial arts in real time safely with the use of protective equipment.
During Sparring Weeks, we'll be focusing on different elements for each age and rank group.

For Explorers: We'll be practicing footwork, spatial awareness, and spark through our strikes and kicks.

For SKK Students White thru Purple: We'll be practicing self-defense applications of our material, including maintaining a strong guard.

For SKK Students Blue Belt and Higher: We'll practice all of the above, plus partnering and ring sparring (the kind you'll see in Villari's tournaments, like Sturbridge or Springfield).
In order to partner with other students in sparring, each individual will need a full set of their own gear. Due to concerns regarding COVID-19, we won't be supplying borrowed gear for our students.

In-Person Group Class (1 Credit)*

In-Person 30 Minute Personal Training (2 Credits; ages 7+)*

Virtual 20 Minute Virtual One-on-One Training (1 Credit)*
The Fine Print
*Due to the limited nature of our programming at this time, you must sign up in advance for any in-person classes and private lessons. You must cancel any scheduled class at least 24 Hours before the class time. All no-shows and cancellations within 24 hours of the class time forfeit their class credit(s). All missed classes expire after one year. Please plan your classes accordingly.
